INTRODUCTION.

Every human being functions in only one of three possible states of mind. Natural man functions as an irrational being, spiritual man functions as a rational being, and then there are those who are trapped in the in-between position, who are disorientated. The present social order refers to natural man as being 'normal', spiritual man as being 'eccentric or weird ', and those who are disorientated as being insane, having a  'mental illness '.

When a human being is born it enters the world as a spiritual being without blemish. During the first year of its life the being is corrupted by the world and dies spiritually, becoming natural man. This is the first death. Unless the individual is born again, he will go through life as a deluded person. Some individuals get trapped in the in-between position and are labeled as 'insane'.

The Bible refers to deluded man as natural man , and converted man  as spiritual man . Those who are disorientated are " luke warm. "

Natural man is also classified into four different mind-set positions, referred to as the " four beasts" . Spiritual man is classified into two positions, those who are without guile, and those who "are in prison" . In addition there are those who are " luke warm" , for a total of seven positions, signifying completeness.

In this essay I will briefly outline what the problem is with a person that is disorientated and who is labeled as being 'mentally ill ' or 'insane '.

MENTAL DISORDER AND ' MENTAL ILLNESS '.

Henceforth I will refer to those who are luke warm as suffering from a mental disorder. By mental disorder I imply that these individuals are living in a state of confusion. They are in a state of confusion because they are caught between two worlds. The real world and the fantasy world of natural man into which they where coerced after birth. The present social system attempts to force them back into the fantasy world of natural man.

In this present world the impression is that a person who has a mental disorder is ' mentally ill '. The label 'mentally ill ' implies that the individual is suffering from a 'sickness ' that is completely divorced from the mind (spirit). It implies that there is something wrong with the individual's chemistry, or that he has 'inherited ' some or other mysterious ' sickness ' that is completely beyond his control and requires 'medical treatment '. The 'treatment ' usually includes the administration of some or other mind altering drug that is often prescribed permanently to restore the so called 'chemical imbalance '. The days of the medical drug peddlers are numbered, soon they will be held accountable for their atrocities.

Referring to the diagram we see that soon after birth natural man falls from grace into a state of delusion. However he is very comfortable with this condition because he is part of the irrational social order. His behavior is constantly reinforced and in addition he is rewarded to the degree that he conforms to the system. The system classifies him as a normal law abiding citizen. 
Spiritual man on the other hand is seen as behaving in a 'strange ' manner and is often seen to be anti-social. In addition he can sense that as long as he refuses to go along with the stream , he will always be kept in his 'place '. Because spiritual man's behavior is not irrational he is not placed in an 'mental institution '. Spiritual man is persecuted in that he is usually very closely observed and should he violate any rules he will soon find himself on the wrong side of the law. He is seen and treated as an outcast by the system. Labels such as weird and eccentric are often used to describe him.


 In - between man is trapped in the twilight zone of two worlds. The real world and the fantasy world in which he grows up. He is confused and disorientated and is constantly attempting to accept both worlds. The main characteristic of his behavior is confusion and paranoia. He is rejected and labeled by the social system as being mentally ill or insane.

 

' MENTAL HOSPITALS. '

Individuals who are 'diagnosed ' as 'mentally ill' are institutionalized in what is referred to as 'State or Mental Hospitals ', where they are given ' medical treatment '. The main objective is to coerce these individuals to conform to the system so that they can be returned to the prevailing social order. The two main activities that take place in these 'mental hospitals ' are, drug peddling, and indoctrination.  These activities are referred to as medication and rehabilitation by the system.

As long as a person remains deluded and conforms to the corrupt system of this present world, he is in no danger of ending up in a   ' State Hospital '. However should a person come face to face with reality , and his defense mechanism collapses , the chances are that he will end up in such a ' hospital '. Some individuals will manage to make the transition from being deluded to being enlightened, however even they are bound to suffer a great deal of unpleasantness while adjusting to reality. In order for the reader to see what is actually taking place it is necessary that he familiarizes himself with the basic mechanism that protects irrational man, the so-called defense mechanism.

 

THE DEFENSE MECHANISM.

What is the defense mechanism, and how does it  function ?
The defense mechanism is the means whereby natural man protects his delusional state of mind. The defense mechanism protects his false sense of identity. The false sense of being  that has been imposed on him by the corrupt world system. It helps him to maintain his fantasy world of a distorted reality. 

When a persons false sense of reality, his delusion, is threatened, the defense mechanism comes to the rescue. The individual feels fear and he reacts by using one or more of the defenses at his disposal. The defense can be one of the following; denial, evasion, projection, rationalization, repression, sublimation, regression and reaction formation. The individual employs the defense instinctively and is not even aware of what he is doing.  
The common denominator with all deluded as well as disorientated persons is fear. Fear is the unpleasant feeling that an individual feels when the garbage that pollutes his mind is in danger of being exposed. The defense mechanism hides the garbage that is always present in the mind. The price a person has to pay for this  'protection' is tension, (stress), that which manifests itself in the form of high blood pressure and other physical problems. When a person's defense mechanism collapses the individual experiences extreme fear: anxiety.


SUMMARY

Any person whom is caught in-between the real world, and the fantasy world of natural man, is suffering from some or other mental disorder. This state of confusion can be remedied by means of counsellings. Each individual needs to be seen as a friend that can be helped . It is futile to expect the present social order to be of any help in this matter, simply because it will be tantamount to making a confession that the message according to the gospel is true. The good news is that the defense mechanism is not going to be protected anymore, so that the curse can be removed.


UPDATE (July 2010)

Any natural person can be seen to be suffering from Dissociative Identity Disorder. In plain language this means such a person has an identity problem, he has lost his sense of identity, and has become a programmable robot. It is interesting that the American Psychiatric association is now contemplating the removal of DID(AIMS) from the DSM-5 and adding  instead, a 'new' mental disorder called  'omenosis' (religious faith).
