| The Son of man: " But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren." Simon Peter: ' Lord I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death.' The Son of man: " I tell thee Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shall thrice deny that thou knowest me." There can be no
meaningful relationship between natural man and spiritual man. Just as French and English are
two different languages, so natural man and spiritual man are two
different human beings. There can be no meaningful dialogue between spiritual man and natural man. Spiritual man can inform natural man that he is deluded, however he cannot make him confess that he is deluded. Neither is it possible for natural man to know that he is deluded. If it was possible for him to know, he would not be deluded. In order for natural man to be converted, natural man needs to accept in faith, that he is deluded. The natural tendency is for natural man to deny that he is deluded. Natural man protects his delusion because his 'identity', is his delusion. It is a matter of self preservation. This is the reason why conversion usually only takes place when natural man is in the "gutter". When
natural man has anything to say, his frame of reference is
irrationality, his words are meaningless.
He cannot be trusted, he is deluded. |
